Happy New Year DHBT supporters! 2026 has only just begun, but another busy season for the ‘Buildings at Risk’ project is already in full swing. The team have already been in Netherseal for our ‘B@R Brunch’ and are busy preparing for the launch of the project in Erewash later this month.

Thanks to the dedication of our amazing volunteers since the B@R project first launched, we are incredibly close to reaching 100 percent completion in both Amber Valley and Derby City.

Many thanks to each and every one of you who has helped us to get this far. To get us even closer to completing the survey in these areas, can you help us to survey the last few buildings?

With your support, we can progress into 2026 ready to take action to protect even more vulnerable historic buildings across new areas of the county!

Below is a list of the buildings that have not yet been surveyed in Amber Valley and Derby City.

Amber Valley

1087373- (Accessed from Chevin Road, Belper)

1335678- (Accessed from Ashbourne Road, Belper)

1335375- (Accessed from Nether Lane, Hazelwood)

1109065- (Accessed from Park Farm Lane, Ravensdale Park)

1158998- (Accessed from Codnor-Denby Lane, Waingroves)

1335400- (Accessed from Codnor-Denby Lane, Waingroves)

1159205- (Accessed from Derby Road, Swanwick)

1335388- (Accessed from Derby Road, Swanwick)

1311534- (Accessed from Church Street, Kilburn)

Derby

1087942- (Accessed from Derby Road, Borrowash) This listing is right on the border with Erewash, which may be why it has been missed!

1287825- (Accessed from Church Street, Littleover)

1421103- (Accessed from Sinfin Central Business Park, Goodsmoor Road)

1215814- (Accessed from Church Lane, Darley Abbey)

To search for these buildings within the B@R app, simply tap the ‘Layers’ tab at the bottom of the main map page, then tap ‘Listed Buildings’. A search bar will appear at the top of the ‘Listed Buildings’ page into which you can type a building’s list number. This will then bring up all the building details and location information that you need to track it down!

It may be that some of these Grade II listed buildings or monuments are not accessible to view from a public right of way. If this is the case, your help marking these buildings as ‘Not accessible’ would still be greatly appreciated. We can then pass this information on to our local authority partners.

The Erewash launch of the B@R project is just around the corner! If you would like to find out more about the initiative, why not come along to one of our two public information events?

The first will take place on Thursday 29th January at the Erewash Museum from 2-4pm and the second on Saturday 7th February at Morley Retreat from 10am-12pm. You can book your free ticket for one of the sessions using the links below.

If you can’t make one of our launch events, we are always happy to provide online support or arrange a 1:1 support session at a time to suit you. Send the team an email to:
