How the Academy Works

1. A building owner contacts DHBT for guidance.

2. DHBT matches the enquiry to a suitable Panel Member.

3. You provide short initial guidance (often a brief visit or conversation).

4. The owner is signposted to appropriate professionals or trades for further paid work if required.

Example of Academy Support

A recent enquiry involved the owner of a historic mill cottage seeking guidance on planned repairs. A DHBT practitioner visit helped identify original features worth retaining, recommended appropriate repair approaches and signposted specialist trades - helping to avoid harmful alterations.
