Recent progress at Wingfield including insulation, ceiling boarding and stud work (to form a WC) in the Parcel Shed; the removal of paint from fireplaces; foul sewer works; glazing to windows and window repairs.
Most of the ducting has now been laid and first fix electrical installations are well underway.
This week the existing modern concrete floors in the station building are going to be carefully broken out.
This is ahead of a new breathable insulated floor going in. This will have a glass foam aggregate base and a limecrete screed over underfloor heating.
