Despite the wintry weather, our ‘Buildings at Risk' team were out spreading the word about our exciting initiative last week, holding a drop-in B@R project information session at South Derbyshire CVS in Swadlincote.
Heritage Development Officer Anna Cluley, Trustee Allan Morrison and DHBT supporter Tanya Spilsbury had an enjoyable afternoon sharing project information with members of the public, demonstrating the capabilities of the B@R app- (developed by our colleagues at the West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust with support from Historic England) and catching up on the latest ‘Buildings at Risk’ project news and progress.
The session proved another fantastic opportunity to meet volunteers, share project updates and increase awareness of our project.
The team were also delighted to welcome several members of South Derbyshire District Council and local parish councils, who were keen to learn more about how the initiative could benefit their residents and communities, as well as South Derbyshire’s wider historic environment.
As well as providing project details and support the team enjoyed the opportunity to share their interest in historic buildings and local heritage with likeminded people.
A huge thank you to everyone who popped in to see us and helped us to spread the word about our initiative. Your support is what has helped make our project such as success so far. Watch this space for more exciting project updates very soon!
