Expression of Interest - Café Operator
Wirksworth Heritage Centre Building
Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust (DHBT) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced and enthusiastic café operators interested in running the café at the Wirksworth Heritage Centre building, 31 St John Street, Wirksworth.
The café forms part of an exciting new mixed-use heritage and community building that will include meeting and event space, creative and office workspaces, heritage activities and exhibitions.
The ground floor café is fully fitted and equipped, offering an excellent opportunity for an operator to establish a café business with relatively low start-up costs.
DHBT is looking for a café offer that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors as well as providing high-quality food and drink with strong customer service. We are keen to complement Wirksworth's current offerings and establish a cafe that will support the building's heritage and community role.
We are particularly interested in hearing from operators with experience in independent cafes/coffee shops, visitor destinations, community-focused hospitality and/or social enterprise or locally sourced food offers.
The opportunity includes a fully fitted kitchen and servery with flexible lease terms to support an early successful start. There is strong local goodwill and demand for the cafe's reopening.
Interested parties are invited to submit:
Details of relevant experience
Initial ideas for the café and style of offer
Any information on proposed operating structure or team
We welcome interest from both established operators and emerging independent businesses with a strong vision for creating a successful, welcoming and community-minded café in the town.
