After putting the site on lockdown since mid-March, it was a good visit back to South Wingfield today.
The morning was spent putting up the National Lottery Heritage Fund boards; discussing ground testing with a geo-technician; taking delivery of the loo; talking to scaffolders and planning some initial ground clearance.
The site has had a lot of growth over the past few weeks and it was quite a surprise to see it so well hidden behind all the greenery that has appeared.
Over the coming months there will be a number of inspections and surveys taking place including bat surveys, timber analysis, architectural paint analysis, finger-tip structural surveys and drainage checks.
