On Sunday Ron Common and Ian Hooker led a tour of the historic Aqueduct Cottage.
Attendees enjoyed learning more about the cottage built around 1802 by Peter Nightingale, the great, great-uncle of Florence Nightingale.
Ron Common, the @derbyshirewildlifetrust Volunteer Project Manager, talked about the recently completed 4 year restoration project to authentically rebuild the cottage. This was, in no small part, thanks to the efforts of a steadfast group of volunteers.
The project has won several awards - including more than one at our recent Architecture Awards!
Many thanks to Ron and Ian for leading the tour on Sunday. A great restoration project to share on #worldheritageday
