It’s Volunteers’ Week and that means it’s the time of year when we reflect on the incredible work of our volunteers and share how grateful we are to every single person who has given up their time to support our ‘Buildings at Risk’ survey project and other work.
Thanks to our volunteers, every single Grade II listed building in Amber Valley, Derby, South Derbyshire and Erewash has now been surveyed - almost 2000 buildings in total! - and we have been able to extend the survey to include Grade I and II* listed buildings in these areas too!
The vital data gathered is helping us to advocate for and protect potentially vulnerable historic buildings across the county and understand more about their current condition. None of this would have been possible without volunteers downloading the B@R app and going out in all weathers to complete the building condition surveys. A huge ‘Thank You!’ to all our B@R survey superheroes!
Want to find out what it’s all about and chat to our friendly team about the initiative and how you can involved? Why not come along to one of our public information events for the launch of the B@R project in Chesterfield and Bolsover? Both sessions are free, but booking is essential.
