On the 6th November the Conservation Officers of Derbyshire group were given a guided tour by Wates Construction of the ongoing works to transform Derby Market Hall.
The Grade II listed building, dating from 1866, is having extensive renovation of its roof - an impressive cast iron and glass barrel-vaulted structure.
The works includes extensive scaffolding with over 62 linear miles of scaffold poles being installed to create a safe and workable solution.
The wider £11.2m regeneration programme will transform the Victorian Hall into a contemporary, vibrant and retail destination.
