Once derelict, the Grade II listed former Grammar School has been transformed into a thriving community and business hub - combining sensitive heritage restoration with sustainable design.
Judges highlighted the project’s exemplary reuse of historic fabric to create flexible, modern spaces that serve local enterprise and community life, ensuring this much-loved civic landmark has a vibrant new purpose at the heart of Heanor.
