Love pubs or local history?
Join us to explore some of Derby’s most iconic historic pubs and discover more about DHBT's buildings at risk 'B@R' survey app!

Date: 28th August 2025
Location: Meet outside the Greyhound pub, 75-76 Friar Gate, Derby, DE1 1FN at 3pm
Details:
We will start outside the Greyhound, a restored 18th century pub.
After a brief introduction we will begin the walk, taking in some of Derby’s most historic pubs.
Halfway along the route, we will stop for a pint at Ye Olde Dolphin Inne, before walking along the river Derwent.
We will finish at the Brunswick for a drink, refreshments, and a brief talk regarding DHBT’s 1982 restoration of this now award winning pub, and its adjoining cottages.
Most of the buildings on this route, and in the Derby City area, have already been surveyed by our amazing volunteers. Therefore, our app is not necessary for this walk.
As always, DHBT’s team will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the app, or the next steps for the ongoing Buildings at Risk project.
This event has been made possible thanks to National Lottery players and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
