Busy week for Wingfield Station!

We've had a busy and productive week for all things Wingfield Station related!

On Tuesday ASBC Conservation and Heritage Specialists completed the installation of the NMR crest at Wingfield. It looks great!

Thanks again to everyone who made this possible via our Crowdfunder - please do make sure you come and see it for yourselves! Rewards are now being fulfilled. If you ordered a mug or a bag, we're still waiting for these to be delivered, so it might be early November when you receive them. Thanks for your patience!

On Wednesday we were joined by over 80 participants via Zoom when we presented 'Rescuing Buildings at Risk: The Ultimate Action - CPD Event'.

You can now watch this 3 hour session back via YouTube. A must-watch for anyone who is interested in exploring issues around buildings at risk, the process of serving repairs notices, legal considerations and Compulsory Purchase Orders.

Many thanks to our expert panel from Historic England, the IHBC, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the DHBT for excellent presentations and discussions. *Please find a link below to download the documents referred to during the talk.

And on Thursday we were delighted to be joined by a volunteer working party from Sir Robert McAlpine. Some of their Derbyshire IHP Team took the opportunity to help us out; repairing the stone setts, putting up signage and preparing planters for construction. Thank you to Kate Lemon from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust for supporting the team through the day.

Not long now until our grand opening event on the 28th October! Looking forward to seeing you then!
