Damaged and blocked rainwater goods along with a leaking roof are causing damage to the historic North Mill at Belper. All too often many of our important heritage assets suffer a similar fate which eventually leads to the need for major expensive repairs. Urgent work needs to take place now and prevent these escalating costs. Those who provide funding for heritage should be devising programmes that assist in the prevention of building decay and help to provide funding for regular maintenance.
