A perfect outing on a summer afternoon and a rare opportunity to visit an intriguing Grade II* house in a picturesque setting beside Ogston Water.
The dating of the various parts of the impressive Hall presents a challenge, even to experts. It stands in charming gardens with views out over parkland laid out in the late 18th century by William Eames.
There is limited parking at the Hall, access to which is by a long drive off Ogston New Road, the entrance to which is opposite Ogston Lodge approximately 300 yards north of Brackenfield Church.
